The USS New Orleans is a Star Trek role playing board for teen audiences; however, there may be more mature threads involving sexual content. These threads MUST BE marked to alert users. Failure to mark a sexual thread will result in at least a warning but may result in a ban!
Posts in this role playing site should be at least one paragraph. A paragraph is at least three well written sentences. I understand that not every post can be more than one sentence, but at least try. The better your posts, the faster your character may be promoted.
Promotions on the New Orleans take place at the sole discretion of the Captain or the First Officer. Post counts have no bearing on promotions. This is to keep people from spamming posts just to get a promotion. In the case of multiple characters, your highest ranking character will be the group you're in. The ranks on the New Orleans are the same as in Starfleet, but just in case you forgot they will be listed below from low to high.
Character posts are important on the New Orleans (just like on TV). Therefore the ship's Chief Medical Officer SHOULD NOT be firing the ship's weapon systems. Doing anything like this will result in a demotion. The only exception to this rule might be a crew member who doubles on the Bridge - such as the Operations Officer controlling the Tactical Console. The available posts (or specialties) are as follows. PLEASE NOTE: All posts will have a Chief Officer in charge of that post. Posts with an X next to them are currently unavailable. They are also colored to correspond with the uniform color (TNG/VOY color scheme even though we're before them).
